Would you happen to have a list of what all sensors can be eliminated from the engine and harness?
Thanks Mike |

Kcpaz - that is a very nice lookin' setup in the Gallant. The DOHC looks great along with your handwork. And handwork these days is the thing you see the least of on cars.....though plastic geegaws exist by the thousands.
Also - the Subaru thing is not as bad as I expressed....... ![]() I'm actually worried about having to buy a new car in the future - and how 'sickening' the experience will be...but that's just me. I have an addiction to the way mechanical things were once put together....and regret that it's a bygone era, like this bike : ![]() Vincent Rapide __________________ Last edited by Duckworth; 08-27-2008 at 05:56 PM.. |

Thanks for the kind words. By the way, the car has been running awesome. I've driven it on the hottest AZ afternoons and it hasn't overheated once. I've logged thousands of trouble free miles on it. My favorite part... it doesn't leak a drop of oil in my garage. How many 100,000 mi + Porsche powered 911's cam claim that?

Beautiful work... I've enjoyed following this thread.
I see you're on the Bay (250294492055)- I hope you are still considering selling kits or drawings. Good luck with your sale and future projects. Thanks for capturing this one! Mike '93 C2 '72T Last edited by our964; 09-18-2008 at 07:29 PM.. |

With zero regret, I sold what I swore would be the last 911 I would ever own over two years ago. Its been a long time since I've posted anything or even visited the technical forum here. I only found this thread because a friend sent me a link to the ebay auction. Anyway, I just wanted to say that this thread is causing me to look for a roller to convert. Absolutely fantastic work. Thanks for sharing it.

Hello from far north Alaska! I am very impressed with your H-6 conversion, and I am very interested in the conversion. Currently I have a 76 911s. and I recently purchased a clean driving 1978 Porsche SC rolling chassis. I am currently looking for worthy power plant. After reading your thread I was shocked to see such an awesome idea come to life especially with a liquid cooled flat six. Great idea! For Alaska this conversion is perfect, we have vast temperature changes in summer and winter. I would love to be able to drive in the winter without long warm up times. I read on thread #270, regarding prices and interest for your kit. I would like to put myself down on the list. I am constructing my SC as a winter project and I would love to be a candidate for purchasing your conversion. Please keep me posted and keep up the good work! Thank you AkPorsche |

BTW, if anybody is interested, I would sell this kit (the one that's actually in the car right now) for $5000 minus the engine. I can sell it with the engine for $5500, but then shipping will get expensive. This would be a bolt-in, turn key conversion that would include eerything from engine management, fuel system, exhaust and cooling system. The car is also for sale on ebay for $10K as a complete car

"WOW! What is the value of the Vincent? Gorgeous!" ...MCA
A few years ago - I read in 'decent' to good condition - they we're in the bracket of $50 G. ..I wish they were around occasionally - seen at a Dairyqueen or local pub perhaps. They all were sold in black, btw. ![]() _________________ |

I just read the whole thread and I am floored. What a fantastic project and job you've done. Whats the status on this baby?
My hat is off to you for thinking outside the box and having the skills to make it happen.

Well it didn't sell on Ebay, but I do have someone locally who says he is going to buy it next weekend, but you know how that goes. I did drive it this week and I have to say, if it does sell, I will be sad to see it go. Every time I drive it, it makes me want to keep it. Maybe I should.
