Anyone have any MS VE and spark tables for a 3.2l?
I'm running MS1 extra V29 on a 3.0 pcb. What I'm looking for is a starting point for the VE and spark tables. I've got the engine fired and running really rough but can't seem to get it to smooth out. So if anyone can help, Please let me know. Thanx, Duke

I found these in another post. They are for a 3.0. Just scale your req_fuel value until the idle AFR is set around 13:1. This is the easiest way to start for your 3.2.
![]() ![]() ![]() When I got my MSII working I found that I had a large Map_dot signal. The noisy signal would kick on the accel enrichment and make it run really rough and rich. Raise the MAP_dot threshold value in the AE settings. Then tune the VE table. Afterwards go back and set the AE settings. btw, learn to use the logging and Megalogviewer with VE analyzer. This will quickly sort out the major issues. Good luck.

Thanx, Jp I saw this exact table earlier and was thinking of doing what you said. I'm thinking that the map threshold is where alot of my problem is, so I'm going to start there and hopefully get to tune it some soon.

I found that a small piece of open cell foam stuffed into your vacuum line will do wonders for quieting down the MAP signal. It was really important running ITBs. I assume you are running a modd'd CIS intake or the 3.2 intake. The common plenum should be more than quiet enough if you take the vacuum signal near the throttle body.
I put my MAP threshold to almost 200 to make sure it did not kick in acceleration enrichment until I got a good VE table. Then you can slowly add the AE settings until it runs well. This is the only way to do a VE map from scratch. Did you tune the no-load sites first? If not, start there. This should make the car at least drivable so you can datalog and tune. Its even better if you get someone to drive and you tune from the pass seat. STart on a level road with constant rpm runs. Then move to hills with constant grades gradually getting steeper. This is the best way to tune. Target 12.8:1 for the load sites and about 14.5-15:1 for the cruise sites on level ground.

Thanx Jamie. I've now got it running and am experiencing an O2 problem, probably from trying to get it to run with the distributor off a tooth. Now that it's running decent I can start tuning, but I'll have to wait 'til tomorrow (neighbors).
