Where to get 15x8 and 15x9 wheels?

I'm looking for something that is obviously scarce 15x8 and 15x9 wheels for my 911. Can anyone tell me what my choices are? I can get some Jongbloeds but they are out of my price range. Kodiaks are decent and a reasonable price.

What are the other options? Cannot seem to find Fuchs either.

Thanks

Scarce 15x8 and 15x9 wheels? 8's no, 9's no but harder to find, Scarce is a term for 11 x 15's and tires sizes in 15's. Have you been looking in the classfieds? I see 8 x `5's all day in there

My question is, are you going to be able to find tires in the proper sizes for those wheels? Even 16" tire selection is poor. Most high performance tires start at 17".

Hoosier makes 225, 245 and 275 tire sizes, what's not to like?

There a pair of new reproduction 9 x 11 x 15's on ebay. Two different auctions. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=009&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=190133941688&rd=1,1
Harvey Weidman can make you a pair with different offsets. There are few choices for street tires. I run the Michelin Vintage tires 215 fronts & 285 rears on my 8 & 11 x15's. A friend told me there were some less expensive tires than the Michelins, but I don't recall the brands.
The advantage of the 15's over the 17's is the 15's are going to have a better ride due to the taller side wall.

Maybe I should qualify this a bit better: I am looking for a race set up.

What 8" wheels will fit on the front AND the rear and can be swapped front to rear? I am now thinking of going 15x8 and running 225 Hoosiers. I think that these will give me just a little bit more thrust out of the corners that I need given the fact that I have the long 915 trans.

What wheels can people recommend?

What is the outside dish offset on 8's vs. 9s?

8's are relatively cheap. If the outside dish is the same, or similar, you could probably send 4 8's to Harvey Weidman, have him cut and weld and get 2 9s back for less than buying 2 9s.

You could run the same 8's front and rear. Use a 23ish mm offset and they should fit just fine on both ends, although they will be tucked into the fender well in the rear a bit.

I did respond to your email late tonight.

cheers

You might check with Rich at Bogart Racing Wheels.
He makes a lot of dragster and sandrail wheels, but he has a road racing line as well. He can make custom 15" billet wheels for you in any offset and beat Kodiak's prices.

No affiliation, just a satisfied customer.
