You are a pioneer, you have uncovered new uses for A35s that I don't think anyone else would have ever conceived! Now a roll of Structalath, some Rapid Set ....

Well, a little progress but a lot of work. Like hours and hours.

Again, don't be too hasty to judge what you see. Some things are ugly before the swan.

There might be a 2nd generation after I see what I've got. I'll tell you, if I can get those early lights to fit the way they should be for a nice finished project, I'll be happy. I hate cobbed together stuff and we've seen plenty of that here and on eBay. If it doesn't hold water, I'll throw it away. I bet I get 200 hours in this before it will bolt up. And, I won't know what until I do get it bolted.

This stuff is a gamble. I don't know how car designers do it. Well, I guess some don't. You gotta really appreciate anything that is pleasing in design and functional.

I have fun, that's all that counts.

As a former Corvette body shop, puhleez dont use cardboard and then
glass it....we used to get so many cardboard/glassed nightmares in
the shop, we finally stopped accepting the work!!!

Still gives me nightmares on occasion....

This is very neat... a "bolt-on" backdate option?

I'm very fascinated by the mockup/prototyping process. I'd be very interested to see pictures of how you make a mold, etc...

Without giving away any "tricks of the trade" you may be secretive about, are you able to post pictures of the mold making process? I've always wondered how it's done. I've seen it in books but never a real example like this.

Really, really cool stuff!

This is not the "normal" way to do this. But, I will document the various steps. I appreciate your interest in the way things get done. Sometimes it's anyway you can get there.

Dave, you will be one of the first to see the car when the stuff gets bolted up. I don't know if I can make Ventura, but it's a goal, even if it's a stretch.

looks great. still can't quite picture it on the car but the blending of different generations of bumpers and that retro/modern style are truely top-notch. can't wait to see it done!

Milt,

Way cool work! I can't wait to see the finished product. By the way, I always look forward to your comments/contributions on this board. Always helpful without arrogance for some of us less talented and less well healed. Thanks

Kudos to you Milt. It takes balls to stick your head out and take a chance but as they say "nothing risked nothing gained."

I might post some pics when I get it all one color.

OK, you got it. I have no ego when it comes to this. I do it for fun and I really don't give a hoot what others think.

But..................it's at an ugly stage.

Others may think differently, but I personally love it! Yeah, it's still rough, but I think most of us can see the diamond in the rough. I think it's going to look great!

In keeping with the blend of the Carrera RS and the Carrera RSA, there will be an opening. Maybe 3 openings, two for brakes. Shapes to be determined as the thing evolves.

Looking good. Reminds me of the rear fiberglass piece they used to sell to update the bumper of a long hood to the impact bumper look - just the oposite
