Help !! No reverse

Got home today after taking the 930 for a short drive, and VOILA.... can't get it into reverse. .... it's not making nor did it make any noises, but when I shift to where reverse is SUPPOSED to be, it's in first..... someone please tell me this is a simple fix

Thanks, Jer

You have no reverse on a 930. What is a little disassembly for peace of mind? I ask this not be condescending. Call it personal experience. You must inspect the shift bushing and the clutch cable. These are the easiest fixes and likely causes. Our host supplies diagrams for the assemblies as well as articles for adjusting the shifter and the cluch.

BTW since it is a 930 and reverse is to left, the adjustment procedure may need to be reversed. Perhaps someone else can confirm this. Also, keep in mind when diagnosing that reverse has no synshro. I halways just bump the top of second gear before shifting into reverse on my 930. This assures that things stop moving before shifting.

The same thing happened to me after a DE session in the 930.
I crawled under the car and adjusted the slack out of the clutch cable and it went into R with a lot less grinding.
But I'm still not convinced I've totally solved the problem.
