Problems posting messages

Sorry for posting this here, but I wanted to put this somewhere with enough traffic that hopefully someone could help. For some reason I can not select the smilies, insert lisk, etc options anymore when posting new or replying to other messages. I'm running Firefox 2.0.0.6. It's worked fine in the past. First time I noticed this was yesterday. Nothing has changed on my PC recently that can account for this. I have gone through the settings, and nothing I have done seems to have resolved this. The OS is Win2K pro if that matters. Thanks

John,

This is my first post or anything else with Firefox 2.0.0.6 and Win2K Pro SP4+ ... the Firefox update to 2.0.0.6 was just installed automatically about five minutes ago, so we shall see how it works ...

Does anyone know if the formatting bottones at the top of the reply box to do link inserts, various text formatting, and smilies are activeX controls? Theye work fine in I.E. but in Firefox I get the ID tag, but the botton does not work. I found something in the Firefox forums that states that ActiveX controls are not supported by Firefox 2. There is a posted work around, but I wanted to find out if this was my problem before giving that a try. This reply was done from my IE browser and it works fine, so it's definitly something to do with my Firefox install. This is not the only web page I've been having trouble with the past coupls of days when I first noticed this strange behavior.
