I've used paintscratch.com (the bigger spray cans for repainting the inside of my CE's color matched wheels), and a small touch-up bottle for chips (along with the clear coat). I realize that metallics are hard to match, but I'm really not all that impressed with their Diamond Blue Metallic. If I had it to do over, I'd find a local "high end" paint source, let them do the matching, and I think it would produce better results. With paintscratch et al, you're getting their "one attempt" at matching the original formula for 20 year old paint (in my case, a pristine garage queen), whereas a local guy could use his expertise to "tweak" it for a better match.

My local (Belmont, Ca) body/paint guy matched my paint perfectly. I believe he uses the same method any quality shop would use. Not sure if computer or just the paint code. I had to leave him my gas flap for him to make the match. He was conserned about the metallic flake laying correctly but, damn, he did a good job.
