Yep, $840 retail from most dealers. Some charge higher. Call around. I told my local dealer what another dealer would do, and my local guy beat it. $700.

Roer, great pic, thanks

I've installed front glass (as recently as this week) top down. I've also installed it with the rope starting at the bottom. It works either way.

The front is easy in comparison to the rear, oddly enough.

I'm not going to argue with the idea of the rope starting at the top of the rear gasket, because that's where the gasket deflects the most -- against the back of the roof.

The defroster wires are very tough. You will not break them, but you risk dislodging them.

Plan to do one or two 'practice installs.' If you put too much pressure on yourself to get it right the first time, you risk being very frustrated. If you can do it with the rear quarter windows out, it's easier. Oh, and one more thing: try to do it inside or in the shade. Frying yourself while doing this is going to compound the frustration.
