Question 71 AC line Install Question

I have a 71 that Ill be installing AC in. I am wondering as to the AC line Routing.. Can anyone simply describe the LINE routing from the Compressor to 2 Condensors.. (one on decklid, one in front of Pas Tire) Evaporator.. And anything else I am missing.

Thanks

I will be using a Compressor from an 87 model car, hopefully it will work better than the one from the 72. How does the Belt drive for the 87 Compressor Run, From Crank or Alt ??? What will I need to add to my 2.4 to accomodate the belt, and compressor.. I also have the 87 Compressor bracket.. Designed differently than the one from the 72 car.. Hoping to get this one to fit to my 2.4 motor.. From a quick glance looked like my 2.4 was only missing 1 bolt hold areA for the bracket.

Anyone install a newer style compressor/ w/ bracket on an older engine.. ????

What are the Best hoses to use.
How can I get the Coldest Air?
Should I Use 3 Condensors? one up front below bumper also??

more to come......

This is not a simple question & I can only answer part of it, but I will do my best. Hopefully others with more expertise will chime in. Also if the car did not originally have AC, there is some complicated sheet metal cutting required.

First, the hose routing on a stock Carrera goes from the compresser to the decklid condensor, up the drivers side through the front wheel well to front condenser. Back from the front condensor through the wheel well to the receiver/dryer mounted in the back of the front wheel well. From there, underneath & up to the smuggler box where the evaporator is and out from the evaporator down the passenger side and back to the compresser.
And anything else I am missing.
You have a ton of options here - underbelly condenser, condensers in the rear fender well, fans on the decklid condenser, Procooler, subcooler, just to name a few.

The belt is driven from the lower pulley off the crankshaft. Don't know anything about the bracket though.

Probably, but I have no idea.

There are options here as well, but probably the reduced diameter barrier hose is the typical upgrade.

Buy a Toyota or Chevy. Seriously, there is probably no single answer to this question.

The biggest weakness (and there are several) with 911 AC is the lack of adequate condenser area. There are also multiple solutions available. The answer to this question is yes, but there's many ways to skin this cat. Do a search and you will find a lot of threads on just this question. Good luck.

Front condensor back across top of drivers front wheel well to a/c dryer. down and under car and up into smugglers box to expansion valve and evaporator. Out of evaporator to low side of compressor-stock!!
To add new lines and pro cooler from Rennair, from front condensor to procooler pro cooler to expansion valve to evaporator, from evaporator to
procooler from procooler along left side back to in front or rear sway bar across bottom of car to pass side, from there up to engine compartment and onto low side of compressor. Pro cooler does the job of more condensor area.
