Does anyone have a set of the factory shop mamnual for a 88 911? on CD would be better. Or if possible just scan all the body/chaasis alignment spec's
I really need the upper front specs now.
A fellow bird sent me a copy of the manuals on CD but it was damaged in shipping(lost his info).

Not sure, but I believe the Bentley manual has these specs.

TD,

Like our British friend, I'm not sure what you are looking for but perhaps one of these spec sheets will help.

I think that the Body Repair manual has these measurements in it. I'll post them tonight when I get home from work.

Very similar to what I remember. I have a Porsche Service School booklet called "Economical Body Repairs" with these measurements (I think). If they are different than MBs, I'll post when I get home.

TD,

My stuff appears to be the same as MB's. Here is a scan of the body dimensions from Chapter 8 of the Factory Workshop Manual, Volume VI. The diagram is 11" x 17" so the scan is the best I could do!

© Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche A.G. (posted here for educational purposes only).

The Economical Body Repairs manual is 72 pages long and I only have a flat bed (1 page) scanner so it will take forever to scan the entire book in. My scanner takes a couple of minutes per page. I guess I need to move into a more modern age! Anyway, I found this manual on Ebay in a supplement to the Workshop Manuals called "Body Repair." My copy is dated August 1979 and has four sections, welding, repair benches, body jigs and publications. The publications section includes three service school manuals called "Economical Body Repairs," "Welding Galvanized Sheet Metal," and "928 Repair Jobs on Aluminum Body Parts."

The only diagrams in the Economical Body Repairs manual that look like they may be useful to you are the ones already posted here. At any rate, here are the covers of the Economical Body Repairs and Welding Galvanized Sheet Metal service manuals in case you find them for sale anywhere:
