Show me your NON Metallic Grey Paint. RSR Colors??

I'm hedging on the color of my RSR project a bit, and I'm curious for some inspiration. I love this color...anyone have anything like it?

I've been planning on painting it this, but Matteo's blue RSR might have taken the wind out of my sails:

But I love this:

And this:

Sigh. And this:

This one is slightly less "Mexico"'ey:

Orange would be my choice out of those.

Cool Hmmm

You have to decide, of course, and that includes deciding how flashy and/or unique you want to be. I love the first one (the gray), and you won't see it very often.

Micheal sorry to have caused you troubles and pains....

If I had to do it again I would go Gulf Blue or that pale blue on the 3rd pic. Plus those colors fit a longhood much better than Mexico Blue!

I love the 1st picture, but your RSR will be a little less classy and much more mean... so I am not sure it would be a perfect match.

I like greens... also Gelb Green is an alternative to the Viper green above...

I would like to get the paint code for what looked to be a non-metallic silver car on this board. I haven't seen it for a while, but I'm sure many of you know the car. It was an ST inspired project. It's got hood mounted lights, and I believe he has Jack's wheels from BB1. If memory serves, he did a ton of rust repair on that car. I just LOVE the color.

Anyone?

I think those grays are pretty cool, let me find a pic of my father in law's 356 replica color. It's a non metallic gray.

Love the 1st grey, but might be a little too subtle for what you are trying to achieve. All the colors are great and I would probably choose one of the greens (non-IROC type color) or the orange. Being a blue fan, I might consider Cneilson's color that was recently featured in Excellence. We have a fellow Midwest longhood brother that has a T in a similiar blue. I believe that it is a 60's Mercedes color. Very pretty. I guess it depends on what you are trying to achieve - smack you between the eyes agressive or a more subtle hotrod look. Good luck and this is the fun part.

Porsche Crest Slate Grey on a Wide Body!

All,

Later tonight I will post a pic of a Turbo Carrera in a similar flat grey. I was told the car was previously owned by Steve McQueen. I will say this...the car did catch my eye. I love colors that are odd and different.

-Slate Grey/Brick
-Olive/Black
-Stone Grey is also nice.

BTW....I would love to have the early car in Slate Grey....

Paul

Just to add a twist this Peru Red IROC is one of the most unique colors out there. I did a 914 this color and it was always a show stopper.

Porsche Crest Steve McQueen's 930 Turbo Carrera!

Pelicans,

This car showed at Car & Coffee in Irvine CA @ GAP.

I do not know the owner but I was an admirer of the car....very much so.

I would like to see one in Olive/Black.

Paul.

Hmmm...so much for the theory that a widebody doesn't look good in a mid-dark grey.
