Anyone know the story behind this bug/chip shield?
I'm not to keen on putting "Bra" in the title - saw this on a 912 at Autofest this weekend:

bippidy bump bump
Is there no more information than that out in Pelican Land? Surely someone rembers where these things came from (and now I'll stop calling you Shirley). Byron - how old school are we talking here? 60's, 70's, went with the passing of the long hood? It seems to me like a pretty sweet design. Possibly could be made to install and remove quickly, which would be great for road trips. If I can find somebody who still has one of these things around, I might try to talk them into letting me borrow it for a pattern to make a new one. |
