Okay, I do realize that those with the attention span of a twelve year old are hard to "Keep On Point", but the original Topic was 'What Is The Difference Between A 993 and a 993 "S"...

Not "What is the diff between a C2S and a C4S"...

So the price diff between C4S's and C2S's is completely off topic...

BUT, Scooter did discover the price point that I stated for C2S 993's is correct... Average of $60K
Thanks, Scooter!
AND, if he had pulled the info for good ol' Plain Vanilla 993's, he would have discovered that they are being offered for about $15K LESS than the $60K of the C2S's... My original point...

And it would make sense that originally more expensive C4S cars would have a higher asking price... just don't see them selling for those prices tho... something to keep an eye on for a bit, and I'll get back to you all... What a Hoot!

Note to self: Don't make comments about 993 C4S cars... the Owners are a bit 'testy"!!! Must be that "truck-like" handling that is unsettling them! ;>))

It is way too complicated to get an average price on Autotrader of N/A N/B 993s (sorry, I just can't call them "plain vanilla"). ;)

So many factors involved in pricing a car: modifications, mileage, color, year, maintenance history, options, etc., etc., etc.

I doubt if you will find either the C2S or the C4S selling for the above asking prices.

I don't own a C4S, but I would love to have one in my area (Seattle). :)

BUT, I wouldn't turn down a C2S either. ;)

Actually, I'll stick with my N/A N/B car for now. It suits me just fine. :)

No, you are (still) missing the point. If you make bold (but wrong) statements here, you'll be seen as clueless. ..and a bit annoying. It's okay to be one or the other. ...Not both at the same time.

This conversation reminds me of my ex-wife...

She had to have the last word on everything too!

Statement #1: 993"S" cars sell for about $15K more than non "S" cars of the same general age and condition... Bold? I suppose. Wrong? Hell, No!

Statement #2: 993 C4S cars tend to handle differently than the 993 C2S cars; some might even say "truck-like", as in AWD SUV fashion...

Bold? Not really; an opinion, as experienced and expressed by myself and two other 993 owners who have had the opportunity to drive both cars for extended periods.
Wrong? How can an opinion be Wrong? I may think Silver Porsches sell more quickly than Green Porsches; they may, in some parts of the country, to certain buyers, or they may not. It is called an "Opinion"... I am entitled to mine, and you are entitled to yours. Neither is "Wrong"!

What is definitely "Wrong" are individuals who believe they are the self appointed "Forum Police", and have been annoited by some unkown power, to put down those participants whose opinions clash with theirs.

Calling other participants postings "Crap" and "Garbage" is tatamount to censorship by intimidation. I'm supposed to be impressed by someone because they have over 6,000 posts? I say, GET A LIFE!

In any case, I don't participate to be politically correct! I participate to continue a career of nearly 40 years of enjoying the Porsche experience, and the hobby. If you don't agree with my statements and opinions, you are free to keep right on reading. No response is required. I find it interesting that as a member of the 356Talk Forum, we are having a similar issue over there... one or two individuals that want to "critique" anyone's posts that they may take exception to (Not mine in this instance!).

One of the wisest statements I have ever heard expressed was this:
"If you can't say something good, then say nothing at all".
