Danica Patrick drives 997 GT3 Road Test

Guys, I got this video in the Motor Trend email I got. Pretty sweet toy and driver.

I love it -- full fire suit and bare hands. Pretty, but what a load of crap. Just my opinion...

Wrong driver and wrong track yields bad analysis.

Take the car to a real road course and give to a driver that can turn right as well as left. Other than create a media circus two or three years ago at the Indy 500, what has Danica really done at the professional level?

Why wasn't she taking on the phone while driving? Not a real world test IMHO.

No gloves, no HANS device, glass windows in the up position.

Next: Larry Flynt drives a Prius.

What's the first thing you learn at a PCA DE? Only take your hands off the wheel when it's time to shift, and immediately put them back on?

Looks like Danica's out for a Sunday drive.

Well, she finished 2nd at a road course 2 weeks ago...

I can't see how her analysis was "bad". They took her to a very high speed oval and asked her what she thought. Seeing that she drove the car on a high speed oval she commented on the performance on an oval. She feels the car isn't the thing for a big oval. She felt the car was made for a course "where you need a car to rotate on you very quickly". She was right on spot and agrees with you that the car should be on a course with curves.

As far as deriding someone who has the skills to get in an open wheeled chassis and even qualify at Indy while at the same time being able to present themselves as a marketable media presence...

Hmmmm...

Not that I care, but I was thinking along those lines also. While maybe not the best driver in the world, she could certainly spank most who post here

Helmet?

Is it just me, or does it appear that her helmet is not strapped on?
Not her best interview, but I still think she's cute!

Why, why, why does every imbecile producer of car videos have to ruin the sound track of the engine with even more imbecile music ????!!!!!!!

Besides that, the interview was not very impressive and she certainly was not super impressed by the car. As a matter of fact, I think this is the first response I have read or heard, to the RS, that was not completely glorifying the car.

I believe the point of that comparsion was top speed- so an oval was the appropriate track.

I came away feeling that the RS is a big waste of money (same way I feel about all new Porsches).

I'll take Danica to dinner in a red Z06 please!

There was plenty of reason to spin. She even did a good acting job after the spin .

Fact is: she can out drive half the Indy field. Since only the best drivers here are only faster than one Indy driver, I don't think anyone here is in a position to fault Danica's driving. And she's cute .

She's clearly not the best professional driver but 8 top 5 IndyCar finishes is nothing to sneeze at!

And she can probably drive better than a lot of the folks on here.
