I'm having some electrical problems, battery keeps going dead, I opened the fuse box and this is what I found, the rear light fuses are blown and this first relay which I'm not sure what it is for has a wire that is burnt. Anyone know what this relay is for?

Kirk,
It would help to post the year of your car. The relay in question looks like some type of aftermarket thing since, generally, Porsche usually installs round Bosch relays in that position. If you are trying to solve a battery drain, try this. With the key off, disconnect all of your fuses (note where they go so you get the correct sizes in the correct spots). Use a milliamp meter to meassure the current draw from the battery. It should be zero or very low ( a few miiliamps). If not, look at your wiring diagram for the circuits that are unfused, your problem may be there. If this checks out, replace the fuses one at a time until the meter jumps. That is a circuit that will need your attention. Leave that fuse out and continue with this test until all fused circuits are checked. Like above, use your wiring diagram to check the circuit and find the short. Tedious? You bet. But it is the only way I know.

Kirk,
My suggestion is to remove battery from vehicle, unfasten and peel back the Perlon trunk liner carpet, loosen the fuse/relay panel, and start tracing wires. Don't expect any standard diagram or color codes to help you, either! At least one of those Fastons will need to be replaced before you can use that circuit the relay is controlling, as the one labeled in yellow is arced bad enough that it won't ever go back on properly!
