Paint Source for Signal Orange
Hi Kids,
Does anyone have recommendations where I can buy Signal Orange (Code 1414) paint and suitable primer? I'm having Miss Demeanor repainted to it's original color while it gets the 3.0 Liter. I've sourced a shop and need to provide the paints. Thanks. ![]()

You can take the code and just order the paint but it probably won't match. The old formulas don't relate to the new compounds so they need to be reformulated. Your best bet is if you have a section from where the paint hasn't faded that you can have it matched.
Another alternative is to find someone who's been through the process of reformulating the paint to match and get the formula from them. That's what I did. The Early S Board would be a good place to find someone who's matched Signal Orange for a restoration. Post over there and see if you can get the formula.

KevinP73 on the board has done a couple Signal Orange cars in the last couple years. You might want to look him up.
