Help - Does a double row crank pulley need a different engine housing?

I'm still working on getting everything together in preparation for putting AC on my 3.0 SC Euro. There was a comment in a previous post, that when converting to a double row crank pulley to drive the compressor, you have to change the engine housing/cover also.

Any of you AC authorities have the answer? THANKS.

I'm not sure about a 3.0, but I had to change mine on a 3.2.
