convert Targa to "soft top"

Not quite sure how to search for this, but imagine it's been discussed before.
I have a 73 Targa, and am interested in switching to the older "soft" rear window.
Is this possible? Parts readily available etc?

Yes it is possible. No parts are not readily available. They are quite hard to come by and if you find them they are expensive and usually incomplete. Look at spending at least $1200 on used hardware. The vinyl window should cost a couple hundred or so and installation would probably be in the $1000 area.

I would figure at least $2500.

I personnaly don't like changing cars from their original look; especially "upgrading" looks to later versions.

BUT the idea of converting to softwindow sounds great; improves the looks and exlusivity and also easy to change back if you'd want. I have a 3.2 convertible and I enjoy driving with the softwindow down only a lot.

Hope you can find the parts; post pics of the project !
