HI Akila,
this mechanism and motor look exactly like mine. Did you have a chance to find the source for this motor. If you do, please let me know. I am looking for one.
Thanks.

These are the RX-7 Motors. I have not set them up as of yet, but the motors are readily available on Ebay. Let me know if I can assist further.

Akila,
Thanks for response. Do you know which year is this one? I saw many Mazda motor on ebay but they are not exactly the same (the 3 mounting points).
Also, yours look so new. Do you know any place to get it new?
Thanks

Don't know where to get new ones. I had picked up an extra set just in case I need parts. IIRC these are the latest year with the rectangular headlights. I bought a complete assembly of Mazda's, but I forget what it cost.

I have exact same motor, which doesn't work anymore, and I don't know what year it is from.
Thanks Akila.

Akila,
no... umm... I don't know exactly what year but those on ebay posting 86-90 are not the same as this one. The 3 mounting bolts are not mounting to the body but they have arms.

So it looks like out motors came from the first generation RX-7. The year selected for the ******** website was 1982.

Also, I found out there was a fat & skinny motor. Apparently the ones to use are the skinny ones. 1979-1985

It's RX7 from 83 to 85. I ordered and installed it in. The headlight works now.
Thanks Akila, thanks all.

Would you happen to have a wiring diagram of your lights?

My car was premade that way, with the same motor. I didn't change anything, just cut and reconnect exactly how it was before. I didn't even have to do any measurement because all wires are the same collor. Sorry don't know how to help. If you can think of any way I can, let me know.

Garage
mazda motors, RX 7 early version. when installing them in a porsche, take care to seal the relays completely with silicone as they are mounted upside down from their original position. Otherwise these relays fill with water, corrode and fail

the swivels/ hinge points need to be lubricated periodically too
