wheel fitment

Hi all I have some 17" ROH wheels I was using for intermediate rains they
measure 8.5 and 7.5 with a backspace of 6.5 and 6" I was using them with spacers on a 86 3.2 . What car do you think they were designed to fit?
I tryed them on a 930 but the sit way inside the fenders I was thinking
993 or 964. the reason I ask is so that I can sell them . Thanks Palmer

Is there an "ET" number stamped inside? That would answer a lot of questions.

According to your backspace numbers the 8.5 has a 44mm offset (+/-) and the 7.5 has a 57mm offset (+/-). These would probably fit a 993 but are pretty narrow.... They may also fit a 87 and later 944,951,968 etc and possible the 964. Not sure on the rear fitment but the fronts should fit.

Cheers

The question comes to mind, How did you measure the width?

Are you reporting overall width or rim width(aka bead width)?

also was backspace measured as indicated in the diagram?

Well, if that is overall width (which I had not considered) the rears are 69.8mm (+/-) and the fronts are 69.8mm (+/-).....

Never heard of anyone building/buying Porsche wheels that are 6.5/7.5 in width though...

Cheers

The wheels have (17"J 8.5" )cast into the rears and (17" J 7.5) into the fronts. I measured the back space with a strait edge witch was 6.5" and 6" Thanks Palmer

w/o knowing the flange width, which I estimated to be .5" I get +45ET for both wheels

If the flange is smaller the ET goes up, but only a very small amount.

I've got no idea what they might fit other than an SC/Carrera w/ spacers.

964 wants ~55mmET which you can't get out of a 45 w/ spacers

My guess is 928 fitment. The ROH ZR wheels seemed to be popular for 928s from what i've seen.
