what is minimum thickness for rear 930 turbo rotors (before tossing)?
Guys,
What is the minimum thickness for rear 930 turbo rotors? Fresh should me 28mm thick. If I have some that are 27.x mm without large grooves, should I machine them (surface ground) smooth or just run them and toss them later? Thank you, Doug

26mm wear
26.6mm after machining

Thanks!
If they meet the specs provided.....Would you machine them if you have small grooves or just run them? I was planning on having them surface ground flat, not turned. Thank you, Doug

If they are already at 27 w/ grooves, I would toss them now

Can you machine drilled rotors? A buddy has some serious braking vibrations on his 930. No vibrations at speed. They are stock AFAIK.

Apologies for resurrecting an old post, but I've been searching for the answer to this same question, but for the front, floating 930 rotors.
Mine are at 29mm in the front. Time to replace? |

Yes, passed time. The fronts start at 32mm and should be tossed at 30mm, afaik...

They can be machined but then the surface needs to be prepared by grinding.

If it's even close to minimum invest in new, all that lost metal reduces the rotors functionality.
30.6mm is the symmetric machining limit, 30mm the wear limit
