Not much for vanity tags but I couldn't resist putting one on my other car. I got tired of everyone asking "Is that real?"

My vanity plate reads: I1I1I1I. Everyone seems to ask me what I won, but it's really just a barcode plate intended to confuse. I flashed it at a Sheriff's deputy when I was walking out of the courthouse and said, "Quick, what's that read?"
He had no clue. I flashed it to him again and he thought it had Ts and Is in it, but wasn't sure. Exactly. PS my annual registration here in I-o-way is $23.50. The vanity plate cost me an extra $25 when I got it 4 years ago. |
I've been contemplating this one:

Note the license frame ... I'm fortunate to live within walking distance of John Walker's Workshop here in Seattle. :)http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1359577419.jpg

On the 911 SC, the PO actually had the Lisencing Department go through the plates until they found one with "911" in it. So I currently have "911- ABC" on my butt (nothing on the front currently, though it is required in Washington State.) I am always asked what ABC means as folks think its a Vanity plate, so I have to tell them it just happened to have "911" in the numbers sequence.
I used to have an old BMW in college that my buddy started calling Wolfgang for no apparent reason other than it was German... I ended up getting a few more BMW's later on, and got a plate WOLFGNG. After a while, it became annoying to explain to people, so I got rid of it. The best vanity plate story I have heard is my good friend with a degree in Ancient History and Mythology, who got the plate BEOWULF in Arizona on his Audi TT as a nod to his degree. He got funny looks for years, especially from girls, and someone finally told him that because of the font in Arizona, it looked like BedWulf.... |

The random plate issued to my GTI is 993 DWD.
I told my son it stands for 993 Dude. Now I just need a 993 to put it on |
Mille Bornes anyone?

Had this on my 1981 BMW 320is back in the day. No one got it. |
I like having 85 M491 on my 85 M491.
I think it's tasteful not vain, a description only. Now on my track /street monster l thought of using BABYEATR but I guess that would scare too many gentille types. |
I was thinking of putting "JUSTAVW" on my recently purchased 911.
My other idea was "12A1234" as I have been a drummer forever (my truck is "A1 ANA2"..) "BABYEATER" made me just about shoot water out of nose - very funny - HA!!! |
