| not too technical - threshold strips
the driver side threshold strip came loose - I now notice the the strip length doesn't match the indents in the sheet metal - like it shrunk about 1" or more. Do these shrink? Also if I get new ones from Pelican how do I attach? RTV, double sided tape? Any opinions re. the after market threshold strips that have the logo in them? Too glitzy? 89 911 coupe

The originals were glued in and they do shrink. The replacements typically come with double-sided tape on the bottom, ready to install. The hard part is removing the original glue, which takes lot's of elbow grease. MY opinion on the aftermarket strips with a logo is...I wouldn't put them on one of my cars. Simpler is better. I don't need to be reminded when I get in a car, what car it is. JR

I took my strips off and left them off. I cleaned up the underlying paint and I think it looks better that way.
