Looking for info on this 2.7
A while ago this motor was on ebay and I am trying to find out if someone on this forum knows who bought it or was inquiring about it. I made a deal for it but I am sure I didn't get the same motor. Any help would be great as I intend to take legal action against the seller. The motor they sent me has a 41% leakage on No. 4 cylinder.

Are saying you bought an engine and they sent you the wrong one?
Call them and ask them to explain, the number is in thier add on ebay. If you don't like the answer you get then talk to an attorney. The Serial Number was not listed in the ad. Regardless, the add states that they pronounced the motor as outstanding, and if you are not satisfied with that evaluation you should ask for a refund. Good Luck, I hope it works out. At least it wasn't an engine for a 73RS... ![]()

When I first read your post, last night, it was not clear from whom you bought the engine but I think what you are saying is that you made a deal on the engine in the ad with the Ebay seller and apparently received a different one and are searching for the person who actually wound up with the one described in the ad. Is that correct?
There are posters on this board who have had dealings with the Ebay seller which are unlike those described by Larry Ratcliff. Maybe you should ask them to PM you with any and all experiences as you search for the true buyer of the advertised engine.

There was a post on here at the time from someone looking for info on GAD that was interested in a motor, I am thinking they were looking at the same motor and may have bought it too. That post has since been removed and closed by our host under threat of litigation. |

GAD Experience
I purchased a set of OEM hard oil lines for a front external oil cooler and while they finally dilevered my lines and they were in good condition, it took much longer than stated for delivery and they were not organized at all.
Many others have shared similar experiences and others seem to be satisfied buyers. I think they are operationally challenged from an organization perspective so your situation as perceived may be spot on. Good Luck!

I bought some seats from them a while back...and they sent me different ones as well. Supposedly "completely restored"...but were torn and very rusty. Clearly had been left outside in the rain for a considerable time. They certainly were not the ones in the photo on ebay and were unusable to me. I fixed them as best I could and sold them for a huge loss after disclosing the problems. They never answered my emails so I left them bad feedback and moved on.
They have had quite a bit of bad press on this site for similar transactions. I rank them right up there with MM. They even had to change their name to try to cover their past. Search for PAP.
