Option code vs. window sticker

The underhood sticker on my '86 Carrera shows only one option for my car - C02 (Equipped with catalytic converter), yet the window sticker lists the following options:

Leather steering wheel with raised hub: $47
Monterey digtl. cassette radio: $635
Limited slip differential: $595
Power door locks: $250
15-inch forged alloy wheels: $840
Power sear, right: $380
Cruise control: $320
Sport shock absorbers: $200
Wheel cntr/white gold metallic: $215
Alarm system: $200
Electric sunroof: $966

Any clues why these options aren't listed on the underhood sticker?

Chris.

My '85 has the same situation, many options but only C02 is listed under white the hood sticker. I don't know the reason, I do not think this still occurs as later model Porsches have very complete option listings on those stickers.

Or...maybe those options were installed at the dealer but when the car came into port from Germany it was not equipped. That's a guess.

Oh, I just called Stoddard and spoke to a Porsche salesman with 17 years of experience. He said that to the best of his recollection Porsche did not start putting all of the option details on this sticker until 1987 or so. Can anyone confirm?

Also, anyone know the first year that this sticker started appearing under the front truck lid? Is it only for US cars? Take a look under yours...

My '88 (July '87 build date) has the codes on the underhood sticker. So I guess '87 sounds about right.
