CIS Pressure Gauge - $20 and you never have to crack another fuel line.
I fiddle with my CIS a lot. A tweek here and a tweek there to get the best performance, fuel mileage, and driveability that this 20 year old equipment can deliver.
Well I finally got fed up with poppin' off the fuel lines and taking a gas bath. For $20 and an hour of your time you can add a permanent gauge to the system. The only drawback is that you cannot check system pressure unless you also install a T valve. Yes it looks a bit Ford oval or bow-tie but that's my roots and it works for me. I can now adjust the cold pressure in about 30 seconds. Fellow tweekers might like it as well.

Very cool Brian! Can you give us a parts list with sizes? I might have to dig into mine soon.

Where did you find the metric to pipe adaptors? I like it.

There is a really cool old timy Ace Hardware store nearby that stocks all sorts of odds and ends fittings.
The "T" block has 3 female 1/8NTP recepticals and is made of soft brass (that is key). The stock WUR fitting will screw right in and pull up tight with out stripping. (I had extras that I tested first). You can install this gadget with the WUR in the car. The one I show in the picture is a spare that I used to make sure it would work and not strip out any threads.

Did you install a T valve? I don't see it in the pictures.
Great idea BTW. Regards Ed

How would this work with the normal 3.0 air box. Will it not be in the way?

Similar to what Kroggers said. Will it fit under the 930 OEM Air Box? I might be interested in hooking it up if it would fit.

Neat idea. It reminds me of a conversation Tim Hancock and I had earlier this year at Hershey about permanently installing a CIS pressure gauge to keep an eye on things.

Very nice! Best idea I've seen in a long time, since our CIS cars are so finicky about the pressure. One quick check and you know if things are right.
The yellow circle is where the the gauge would go for a stock NA car, right?

Yes that is where the gauge would go.

Brian,
Excellent idea! I would do that if I was keeping my CIS, but I'm switching over to Webers. My CIS gauge has been hooked up so long, I almost forgot it wasn't part of the CIS!!

That's why I used your picture to show where the WUR is located.

Nice idea. I have the stock air box and a Kokeln interccoler so I'll have to poke around for a good location.

Here's a couple of silly questions. #1- What exactly does the part you installed the gauge onto do? Is it a fuel heater?
#2- What is the operating pressure, & is it different cold & hot? #3- How do you adjust the pressure if required?
