How much power is lost through a 915 transaxle? (for dyno run)
Does anyone have an accurate number? Trying to convert chassis dyno rear wheel hp into crank hp.

I have always guesstimated 15% losses on a manual gearbox, 17% for a FWD w/ Quaife, and 22-25% for automatics as a rule of thumb.
I would also be thrilled to know a definitive number for losses with the 915 if anyone's done engine dyno then chassis dyno...

I thought once an automatic locked up, it did not lose much more than a manual?

Thanks. 15% seems about right from what I've seen.

It's still transmitting power through a torque converter, not a direct connection.
