Why would they steal this?

Can't believe it. Someone stole the heater knob that goes between the seats out of my 87 when I was at a Porsche event! I don't lock the car because it is only a bunch of Porsche enthusiasts there. My first impression was that it had come loose and must be under the seats but it isn't under them or any where else.

Why would someone with a Porsche steal such a cheap item?

at an event? man that sucks, but most likely someone (doushbag) with a targa or cab had one lifted from their car while it was open.

I found the knob out of my long gone 84 today while in storage. Want it? PM me your address and I'll send it out. Have the red dial with white numbers under it too.

I've got a pair of Cobra seats in mine so you can stick your head down and see right under into the subrail area. There really isn't any place to hide. You keep rechecking because you don't want to believe it though...

You really have to stay ahead of the change when you are shooting video in the car. A couple coins will make a hell of a racket when listening to the audio. It is much more obvious then when you are actually just driving it.

I had some stuff stolen off my car at the UK event Goodwood Festival of Speed, it's the sole reason why I don't go to this any more and haven't for 4 years. It's only going to get worse and with Evil bay being the one place the Police say to look 1st for your stolen property. It's a very sad tale.

I wish events like these and Goodwood paid for undercover ( plain clothed Police to walk the car parks and also to separate Classic cars from daily drivers to it's easier to patrol a smaller more concentraed car park as we all know the car parks are some times better than the shows!! )

Thanks very much for the offer. (The people on Pelican just amaze me!)

Shaun 84 Targa already mailed me one he had laying around.
Hopefully he is currently glowing from the radiance of his excess karma!

Shaun - I really think you should have accepted the beer. My karma could probably use a boost too!
