Help identify these 15" fuchs PLEASE

Hey guys, I bought a 1970 914/6 with the factory m471 option about a year ago. The car came with a set of 15" Fuchs that I cant seem to put a finger on which car these were offered on. They are all the early 3 prong center cap type.

Here is the sizes and date codes.

15x7 4/73

15x7 4/72

15x8 12/73

15x8 12/73

Any input would be apprieciated.

Kurt Williams

Thats a chart to look up serial #`s only ? I'm looking to find application not to authenticate them. If there is a way to use the serial #`s to show applications then please explain.

The 914/6 came with 911 wheels. 14s as the "comfort option" with higher profile side wall tires and 15 inch Fuchs, in various sizes depending if it had flares or not. They also could use the Mahle Gas Burners which came in only one size. I have used 16s on my 914s as well....

Some were factory delivered with steel wheels with hubcaps. Dealers were notoroius for swapping out wheels and then selling the alloys in the spare parts department as "dealer upgrades"......

Thanks Mike, Im certain they are not 914/6 wheels because of the date codes. I dont have a use for these right now but want to know what they are correctly for. I guess today (thanksgiving) is not the best day to get quick answers.

The 7's could be 2.7 RS fitment (4/72 wheel would be on rear for an early RS, 4/73 wheel would be on front of a later RS).

8's could be rear fitment on a '74 2.7 Carrera.

I don't think date codes are going to help as much as the part numbers

Yeah, I have a couple sets of those wheels. They are early 7's and 8's. You are correct, they do accept the early 3 prong center cap. There are some other very minor differences too. Bottom line is that they are worth more than later 7's and 8's. I spoke with Harvey about this for a while and he said they are worth at least double and maybe more since they would be period correct for some of the RS's and ST type cars.

Take care of them!

Ok here are the parts #'s

15x8 911.361.020.12

15x7 911.361.020.01

Is there a chart to identify OEM applications?
