I can relocate, and am deadly with a broom.:D

Nice work as alwaysSmileWavy

Any updates on the car's progress + wheels?

eimkeith 07-27-2013 05:52 AM

Yes, thanks for asking! - I'll get this thread updated this week when I get back to the office.

I hear you.

Keep in mind that in addition to the custom bodywork (which I am refining on the car for a second round of mold-making so that production pieces will fit like a glove), we developed the proprietary steering hub to backdate the '73 Carrera RS steering wheel to use on impact bumper steering columns, center lock hubs for the 930 trailing arms and 911 front struts, and new center lock wheel centers to make 18" wheels for this project. These things, in addition to changing scope nature of a project like this, take time.

This is in addition to other client project work (some of which also involves new product development), maintaining the local service clientele, and managing the product business. Aaron and I are kept busy, full-time, I assure you.

We'll do better on your build project.

I love it!

Keith, didn't you get the memo that your not allowed to sleep or have fun when involved with a pelican project?

eimkeith 07-28-2013 09:52 AM

oops, that may have come off wrong-ish!

(It should have read more like an invitation. )

911SauCy 07-28-2013 03:18 PM

Keith, I was simply busting balls, the work is awesome!

Its really quite amazing how fast time passes when working on these projects.

I really do understand life isn't like an episode of OverHaulin' ;)

No problem here - as I said, that should have read more as a playful rebuttal with an accompanying invitation - we look forward to doing more projects for Pelicanites in the future (with shorter timelines, of course.) ;)

Any updates?

911flyer 02-12-2014 08:58 PM

Seriously... this thread has been followed for 6 years! Need finished pictures of the car!!! :) I think I will have time to die before I see them... long time in a wait. LOL!

Very nice work fellas, truly in awe!

I am currently considering selling this project if someone has serious interest in it. Please PM myself or contact Zuffenhaus with inquiries.

ktr6 02-14-2014 10:47 AM

I am currently putting my Mary Stuart replica project up for sale. The car is currently located in Monroe, NC at Zuffenhaus/Eurowerks. It started its life as an 87 911 narrowbody and has been under construction since 2007. You can follow its progress so far here:

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/379658-here-we-go-again-zuffenhaus-ms-rsr-project.html

This has been a no expense spared project to this point and it is still at a point where the new owner could personalize to their tastes. Keith is in the final stages of bumper/fender fitting and fabrication. Price will really depend on what the new owner wishes to include in the sale. I am NOT looking to part this project out at this time.

Please PM me if you have any interest. This is not a fire sale, I will be happy to entertain serious cash offers. I would also consider interesting Ferrari or Pcar trades (GT3, TT etc) with cash either way depending on the particulars.

These are the highlights for this build, I am sure there is more. Keith is going to send photos and update the build thread shortly. I will be working on developing a price structure in the next day or two. I appreciate all the interest in this project, many people have asked why I am selling such a neat car. Its simple, after 6.5 years on this build its just time for me to move on. I feel certain this will make a nice car for someone and Zuffenhaus can help you finish it if you so desire.
