re your para. # 1 -- Yes, I have the ugly hunk on my own car. I can't help but look at it as a kludge. Someday I'll get a 12 wire dist. & cap, like Ferry intended.

IIRC, there is more info on the "Structural Reinforcement" thread re what model is what % stiffer than the prev. one. But, IIRC, the absolute numbers needed to tie it all together have never been presented by Porsche.

no, the external parts, dashboard controls and those visible from th etrunk are standard appearing, but the insides have been gutted, there is no evaporator core. The ducts themselves are quite light
