Will this 17" tire size combination work?

I have an '81 SC that I'm looking to put 17" tires on. Will 225-45-17's fit on the front with 245-45-17's on the rear? I have access to some used Kumho v710's in those sizes to go on a set of 7.5 and 9.0 Fikses. Will this setup work?

Last saturday I mounted my new Rota Fox 17" wheels with 225/45 x 17 on the front and 255/40 x 17 on the rear and have not had and problems.

Jay,

Those sizes will work, albeit not ideal since the rear tire is a little taller than the typical Porsche 25" overall diameter.

The 245/45-17 has a theoretical OD of 25.7 in., so you'll have gearing that's a bit longer. A buddy had magical handling 225/45 and 255/45 Toyo T1-S (no longer manufactured) tires on his 17x8, 17x9 Ruf Yellowbird wheels and they fit okay. His car has a slammed ride height and most likely rolled front fender lips. Rears were no problem at all and even had thin 1/4in. spacers he eventually took off.
