My 930 has been a big learning experience and a greatly appreciate everyone who has responded to my posts.
I was in the process of removing my manual boost controller, to install and electronic one, in my 930 Turbo. Some of the posts I received made me question weather the manual controller was hooked up correctly in the first place. The cockpit boost control knob had a left and right hose outlet/inlet. The two hoses from the boost knob run to the back of the car, one connected to the upper port on the wastegate and the other connected to the intercooler. On the same intercooler banjo fitting another hose runs down to the lower port on the wastgate. So the intercooler has two hoses, one running to the lower wastegate port and one to the boost control knob. Is this correct? How do you know what port on the boost control knob is inlet and which is outlet? If the manual boost control is removed, what does the upper wastegate port connect to? |
