Recalibrating a 911 Tachometer...
Anyone know if the Dakota Digital SGI-8 will work on recalibrating a 911SC tachometer? Any help is appreciated.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
The Porsche flat-6 produces 300 sparks per second at 6000 RPM. The SC tachometer should indicate 6000 RPM when it sees the 300 Hz signal. Is yours slightly off or are you trying to adapt the tach to an entirely different engine configuration? In any case from looking at the PDF manual this module appears to be able to do both; slight changes in sensitivity as well as full factors. Cheers, Ingo

Thanks for the reply! My latest project is a SBC V8 conversion using existing 911SC tachometer. Shops want like $180 to do this, but I can buy one of these for less than $100, and do it myself, if it will work.

Yes, I saw it online for 79$ - seems to be worth a shot. Apparently, this is exactly what it was designed to do. I would go for it. Good luck.
