Hey Nick, just wondering if you ever got all the problems with the dansk worked out. Also where did you order. I am thinking about the dansk 2in and 2 out for my 82SC.
I like beating dead horses so... waht do you porsche lovers think. I use it as my daily driver...my youth requires that I drive a loud car...haha...but I do not want to run into sour girlfriends like Jack's Blk Beut... I have heard good things about the dansk...and I do like the 2 out...does anyone have a pic with it installed without the rear valance...I do not mind cutting a hole either... But the Sport muffler sounds like a cool option...with dual out, midline adds to the "sporty" look...and one have a pic...opinions on sound and performance... And our great friends at Pelican seem to like the GHL's....hence the accolades given in the tech articles.... So at this point I am thinking of pre74 HE...nad a 2 in 2 out Dansk...feel free to try to persuade me otherwise... MJ What exhaust are you running on the car Jack? Do you have 993 exhaust system or something more polluting since your 73 does not matter? [This message has been edited by 82SC (edited 03-16-2001).] |

Mine is one of a kind. No reason to do it if you don't need it. It's actually a Camaro muffler (happened to be the right size), one-in, two out, to match up with an 87 Carrera exhaust.
It's actually not particularly loud. My girlfriend is more frustrated with the legroom on the passenger side than the sound. ------------------ Jack Olsen 1973 911 T (3.6) sunroof coupe jackolsen@mediaone.net |

MJ,
Thats funny you should ask. I just finally got it all installed last night and woke up the neighbors with the beautiful sound of that muffler. I was planning to post pics today. I put in SSI's and the Dansk dual-in dual-out for the 2.7L (Dansk#92.211). I had to cut the outlets and rotate them down about 20 degrees to clear the bumper. Easy. I had two options for this. Since Dansk no longer makes the dual-in, dual out with the curved outlets for the SC, I could have bought these outlets from Dansk for $75 each. I decided against this. I just rotated the straight ones that came with it down a little. I actually think it looks cooler than having them some straight out, since the factory ones came out at an angle too. FYI: If you order #92.211(L) from Dansk, it comes with the outlets not yet welded on. Cutting them sucked, ate 5 blades on the Sawsall. As far as the noise. My research in talking with people who have all types of 911 sport mufflers said that the Dansk dual-out is one of the quietest of all. Let me dispell that right now. Its damn loud. I think it sounds cool, but your girlfriend might not. If this one really is the quietest, I cannot imagine the mind numbing sound that must come out of a GHL, B&B, Bursch, or the like. I'll send pics later today. Nick. ------------------ _ _ __ _ _ Nick Shumaker 1982 911SC Coupe nickshu@yahoo.com |

You should really look into the Mille Miglia mufflers they are really nice, wonderful quality and makes your car sing. My girlfriend likes it too. It is not too loud And I have singal inlet dual outlet. They can custom make you one too.
