Question steering column movement

I have some movement in my steering column and was wondering if anyone out there has had this and what did you do to correct the problem. I have read articles talking about the column bushing wearing out. Has anyone replaced this part and how much work was involved? I have an '83 911sc. Thanks in advance.

you can also get a metal sleeve that you can replace, this is the easiest way to go, it is supposed to be way better. It is Porsche part # 928 347 739 02 I have one for mine but haven't installed it yet. It's an inexpensive way to go and all you do is remove the wheel and press it in.
