Six days, 24 beer, and 1 bottle of aspirin later... I'm done!
In summary; I replaced, fuel lines, intake gaskets and insulators, pressure switch, thermostat O-ring, breather gasket, and had the fuel injectors reconditioned. In addition, I fabricated an adapter to allow me to use the factory air-box with my MAF. Next project.. install a wasted spark ignition system. Oh, she started on the first try. BTDT - I mistakingly thought once we could replace the main fuel line on a buddy's 3.2 in one evening. It ended up taking *weeks* (or was it months) of sporadic evening work, but we also got deep into the "while you're in there" quagmire.
We did an engine drop at a later date on his car for other reasons, and I decided then it would've be easier to drop the engine to replace the fuel line than to attempt to do it with the engine in the car. Character building experience. |
