I don't think so, as you'd need to use spacers to compensate for the late-style offset, and you'd likely have problems with the rears.
Ruf wheels for your generation of car are 17". The 8" & 10" x 17" wheels are for the CTRs. (Which apparently have wider rear flares than SC/Carrera, but it's subtle). The 9" & 10" x 17" wheels are for 930's. The Ruf wheels for SC/Carrera flares are 8" & 9" x 17: The 8.5" & 10" x 18" wheels are for 964/993/996 etc. http://www.rufautocentre.com/parts/pdf/wheel.pdf

I bet the rears would be easier to fit than the fronts. I've seen 16x10 on the rear will custom offset- no oil line relocating, no massive camber, no spring plate bolt shaving.
8.5 is just too wide up front with narrow fenders. A custom spacer of around 28-30mm would get you around where you need to be with the wheel. You'd certainly have to remove the damper shaft cover and replace it with a rubber bellows, plus you'd have to really massage the front fenders by shaving them and pulling the arches out. 8.5 is just a bit too wide. The tires would certainly rub on the rear inboard side of the tub if you didn't use steering rack spacers.
