Don't laugh too hard ... someone's going to fix that thing, clean up the title in NJ and then sell it to someone. Caveat emptor.

I could fix that.
But seriously, I have a buddy that would take this one. He built a 97 993Turbo from one that was smacked in the front at least as bad, and one that had burned in the rear. Now I have a very discerning eye, and it looks excellent. He also built a Land Rover Defender 90 that was rolled at 80MPH. He didn't like Land Rover's price for a chassis, so he built one himself using one from an old Range Rover. Again, very nice result. The problem with taking this one on is that there is probably $10,000 in airbags alone. Plus because the car is so new, there would be little used sheet metal and parts available which means you are paying sky-high dealer prices for parts. You would have to get the car for almost nothing to justify the effort to repair it. But this would be a bit more work than mine when I started: ![]() Nick. ------------------ _ _ __ _ _ Nick Shumaker 1982 911SC Coupe nickshu@yahoo.com |

They want $33K for the car on their website. Yeah, easy fix includes pulling the cowl back out so the roof will line up......

Here is a scenario: A man buys a "deal too good to be true" from a local used car dealer who in turn bought it from an auction. After buying, he decides to run Carfax report. To his horror, the report come back with these photos.................

The moral is: if its too good to be true, it probably is. Buyer beware! A car like this can be fixed properly, unfortunately not every shop is talented enough nor has the correct equipment to do it right.
And we all know about Carfax. I ran my own cars that I have owned since brand new and they supposedly had changed hands 3-5 times and they claimed one of them had a bad title! An entire business that feeds off fears instilled by Dateline and Current Affair specials. Sad. Nick. ------------------ _ _ __ _ _ Nick Shumaker 1982 911SC Coupe nickshu@yahoo.com |

I take one look at the copy in this ad and gasp. I realize it's the internet, and spelling is not important, but if you are a business-person would you at least try to spell correctly. ? .
I simply refuse to buy anything from someone who writes, "the windshield did not brake",or"Reapired" or,"aproxametely". Grammar and spelling aside, this car could be worth $12k for the motor/trans alone... That 6 cyl. option is pretty rare in a 911:-) Dan Tolley 1987 911 coope |

Perfect opportunity to right that which is wrong. 993 front end? And with any luck that ass ugly dash and instrument cluster were damaged as well. Replace with 5 round proper 911 gauges equally spaced with tach in center stage and all will be right with the world. I guess I see this as good start/blessing in disguise. But then I'm a "glass is half full" kind of guy.
