Question Clutch Operated Microswitch?

Hi,

Just finishing off replacing the pedal bushes on my 83 SC and while I was down there I noticed something that has got me scratching my head! There appears to be a microswitch which is activated or deactivated when the clutch pedal is depressed. What's it for? At first I thought it was the brake light switch but I can't see how operating the clutch is related to the brake.

Cool

This is the switch for the cruise control which switches the cruise off when you step on the clutch. The same happens when you step on the brake, but this is connected thru the brake light switch on the master cylinder.

Nick.

Thanks Nick. I must try the cruise control someday.
