MTFR #10 pics

Well, we got lucky again with the weather. Hard to believe it is actually winter, or supposed to be... oh man, maybe we really are warming!

We had a nice turnout today of 10 great cars, including a couple of primo examples of that other German car. We met in Buffalo, TN and had a great drive on some of Tennessee's best and relatively unknown roads. If you ever come out this way, and you have 3 hours to kill, let me know and maybe we'll reveal it to you if you can show us the secret handshake.

After the best stretch of the route, let's just say nobody had cold tires! Thanks to akll who came out and made it another great and accident free day. I hope you had as much fun as I did!

Most certainly a great day. It was a tad cool driving to the meeting place but luckily truck stops have tons of coffee. I am definitely rethinking the no heat to save weight philosophy . A great day of fun and as Shane said "NO ACCIDENTS"

Don't worry about the "handshake". Some of us are so old we can't remember what it is from month to month anyway. That's why we have to take pictures of ourselfs in front of our cars so we don't get in the wrong one and wonder why our key doesn't work!!!

I'd really love to get up there to do a run with you sometime. As a former resident of Lookout Mtn., I can't think of a more interesting group than a bunch of Tennessee boys in Porsches.

Yeah, can you believe they actually sell them here?!

It's kind of like a German Dukes of Hazzard...

David: so that's why I saw you trying to get into my car, you were just confused... and here I thought you were trying to steal my heat that morning

Nashville has the only airport I've ever been in where you can buy a bass boat.
But I'm not knocking Tennessee, it'll always be "home sweet home to me".

Ironically, it was a dealership in Chattanooga that finally pushed be over the edge to buy my Porsche. My mother had hip surgery and I went up to be with her in the hospital for a few days. Late every night, I'd pass their showroom out on I-75. It was lit so that all you could see from the highway was one red 997. It really got me thinking.....

Dang Shane, I didn't think about stealing heat. Better watch out next cold snap.

Bought it in NC if that helps. 86' with LSD and Sport seats, tan interior.

Great time guys. Enjoyed talking with everyone. Just remember one thing, "trailer breaks". I think Jeremy has a picture.

Hope to come out again some time. We should consider the Smithville roads around Center Hill lake.

That sounds exactly like my old car!....it has a very supple tan leather.....in fact it is full leather pkg called "Champagne" on the Sport Seats....supposedly a rare option. If there are both the "944" badge and the "Turbo" badge on the back then I know it is my old car. The car came from the factory with Fuchs but I like an idiot changed them to the phone dials so it would "look better'. Had a Saratoga sunroof in addition to the solid red top too.

Sorry I don't think this is yours. I have all the records from new and it has the factory phone dials, 7's and 8's. The sport seats are tan but have the cloth porsche logo'ed inserts in the middle. Only a turbo badge on the rear.
