Again, the 3.2L M491 factory widebodies were no more powerful than any of the cars shown here.
My car was dubbed the Posermobile by myself to derail the rash of negativity bestowed on a car that looks like a Strosek 965 but has a lowly 225HP engine behind it. I enjoyed the 3.0L car for many years before the turbo bug hit. I consider it a charitable event to transform a homely example of a 911. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1201064543.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1201064598.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1201064653.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1201064693.jpg |

A true work of art all these cars so far. The nice thing is not one of them is the same!! We all have our own prefernces when it comes to styling and power. From my own point of view i have a completely mint agressive looking 911 now exactly how i want it to look. As time goes by the power will be upped and then i have everything i wanted out of a 911 rolled into one. The charicteristics of an old car when it comes to handling and lets face it if you have the powersteering ABS brakes etc where is the fun. For me my car is a true drivers car, you feel your really in control with no assistance!! More fun! |
One more Wide One
Mine's a '71 w/2.7 hi comp, webers, cams. Wheels are Lindsey / Fuchs, 9.5 & 11 x 17", tires are BFG 275 & 315's. Still a long way to go! SmileWavy
Took my ST bodywork: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1201102023.jpg And went Wide: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1201102185.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1201102301.jpg |

ATP Spa's.... 18x8.5 up front and 18x10 out back. Running 285/30's in the rear. I've got maybe a 1/16th clearance both inside and out on the rears. Fronts were no problem.

Here's my '77 WB Conversion. It has a 3.0 SC drivetrain. :)

Base: 78 SC Targa
All original parts except for rear Dansk Steel flares http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1201173007.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1201173030.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1201173082.jpg |
Now thats what i call gorgeous. Only one thing i would personnaly do is maybe space the wheels out slightly more just for more agression:D
|
+1 on gorgeous. Mine is not a targa anymore and one of the things I contemplated was a speedster conversion I like the look parts are just hard to come by.

Of course all other things being equal, a 231hp Carrera will leave a 150hp 2.7 a long way behind in any kind of race. If you are suggesting otherwise, you are deluded. |

http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a3...u/IMG_0899.jpg Its a 260hp 3.2 with lots of other goodies. I have a full IROc kit bar the rear flares in the garage, but its not on yet. Back on topic - given the suggestion that a 3.6 or turbo lies in the future, can I suggest a visit to impactbumpers.com. We have got a couple of completed 3.6 transplants and all sorts of interesting car and owners on a UK site that would be a very useful resource for anyone thinking of a 3.2 transplant in the UK. |
