Hub Adapter - Please help
Hello all,
I'm having an issue installing the MOMO hub adapter on a 1974 911. I can slide it over the spline, but then there appears to be a little "lip" that it won't go past to get the adapter all the way on... Wrong adapter? That's what I thought until I bought the other one for 1974 MY, but it won't fit either. If you haven't guessed, I'm a bit of a newbie, but I know how to do the basics and this seemed like it should be so easy. Also, I can't post pics of what I'm talking about b/c as luck would have it, I dropped my camera and now it's broken. What a day. Sorry if this is vague and hard to understand, but I'll try to answer any questions. Help please?!?!?!?!? |

Did you include the turn signal plate thing? IIRC, You have to attach it to the hub before sliding it on.

When was your car built ?
The steering column changed around 7/'74 : Momo hub 0230 fits 911/912 models up to '7/'74 Momo hub 0231 fits 911/912 models '8/'74-'89

Done and done. Thanks for your help. I'm guessing I'll be in touch with more simple questions as the upgrades continue. And FYI: The car, by my records, was purchased in the early months of 1974, but the adapter for "up to 7/74" was incorrect. The other hub for the later months is what is now on the car. Go figure. |
