Post Having trouble separating cyls. from case

I'm doing a top end on a 2.4. Got it all the way down to pulling the cylinders by the factory manual's instructions. They're stuck tight and I don't want to damage fins. The manual says lift them off. It said the same about the cam cradles...that translated into prying carefully for a while.

Help will be appreciated. Some shots of the work in process:

a rubber hammer is used for working the cylinders loose . a couple bips on the top, a couple on the bottom. repeat until they move. some are stuck pretty good, so have patience.

They're off and I did what you suggested. Once they move an 1/8" or so, they freed up.

This board is great for instant help...

Thanks and regards,
