Question Somthing is sticking....need help

I am almost ready to put my 2.2L engine back in my 1970 911 after an engine rebuild...As i am rotating the fly wheel back to TDC (to put distributer on, I hear a small "Clunk" and i cannot move the flywheel any futher. Im thinking-- "ohh S%#*"

Just to make sure the clunk isn't somthing inside the engine i separate the engine and trany slightly by loosening up the bolts. Now when i try to turn the flywheel it does turn...there must somthing sticking out off my pressure plate??? wht the hell is goin on here? This is a new clutch/ pressure plate assembly but comparing the old and new they look very similar b/s one is kevlar and one isn't .

Please give me suggestions as to what might be sticking....thanx

Can you turn the transmission input shaft without it sticking?

The transmission was only slightly loosened so the splined mainshaft was still engaged then i could turn it over. so i know its not the tranny or engine. I kno it has to be the pressure plate or clutch???
still need help

did you properly position the T/O bearing, attach the trans and then pull back the fork and turn the bearing 90 degrees after the trans was attached? 70-71 only.
