I used a black two ton epoxy. The stuff that takes longer to dry, it has a higher tensile strength and the ten minute stuff. The trick is to clean the glass first, decide where you want the two end brackets to be placed, mix the epoxy and put ONE of the mounting brackets where you want it to be, have some duct tape or something to keep it from slipping around. I also had precut 1/2" PVC pipe which I jammed from the back of the closed rear seat up to the bracket to clamp it into place. Let dry overnight. Put in light and repeat with the other mounting tab.

Here is a better description of how the 24 LED bulb works:

The manufacturer states their 3 & 5 Watt LUXEN bulbs are even brighter than OEM, BUt at $24-$30 a bulb that is way too much, IMO

My "Cobra" mounted stalk on my Cabriolet just broke yesterday- I am thinking of getting rid of it and placing a high intensity light bar with LEDs under the wing instead. (They are sold on some motorcycle websites and appear very bright). The model is pictured below- you can even get one that flashes five times at first application of brake pedal and then stays steady after that- I thought it might be a good way to get the soccer moms on the cellphone to initially notice the car.

Thanks for the ideas. This thread got me thinking .

They make one that is 4.7 inches long (in photo) and one that is 15 inches long.

I decided on the Pilot LED and mounted on the rear deck instead of the top Targa area. Positioned there does not obstruct view and a bit more updated look as well.

Thanks Guys, you all were a big help as always!!!
