clutch doesnt engage when car is hot?

when the car is cold i dont have a problem, but as the car warms up it gets worse depending on how warm it gets. if the car gets hot i cant even put it in gear.

whats happening is when i push the clutch pedal to the floor it wont engage the clutch enough to not nick the gears.

I have adjusted the clutch 5 times and it does the same thing.

any ideas?

i am stranded at a bar right now letting her cool down. good thing for beer!

Your throw out bearing may be getting stuck on the sleeve it rides on. As it gets hot the sleeve expands as well as the bearing and at some point it stops sliding... its a guess, and you will have to pull the drive train to see if it is right. You will probably have to do that anyway even if that is not the problem. Have you adjusted the clevis at the clutch pedal interface with the cable? If you shorten the cable as much as possible and re-adjust at the tranny... Another guess...

Best regards,

Michael
