You didn't specify brand, but does the label claim it is safe to use on anodized surfaces? If not, I'd be cautious. When working with cleaners or abrasives on my car I use the rule of thumb of starting with the absolutely gentlest material I can start with, and only if it doesn't work will I move up on the harshness scale. That's anywhere on the car, not just the wheels.

Cool

After you are done cleaning them, coat them with vaseline (apply everywhere and then buff it with a soft cloth to remove all the excess). Believe it or not, if you look in your owner's manual, this is recommended every three months. This will keep the dust/grit from sticking to them, and make them shiny again.

Nick.
