how do I disconnect these tach wires?
I'm removing the tach from my '79 930 to hopefully repair a sticky needle situation. I've got all wires disconnected save for three. I've pulled on 'em, twisted 'em around, but they seem to want to stay put. I think I successfully got the light bulb on one of them to come off because now I hear it bouncing around inside the tach, but the wire is holding fast. Any trick to this or just pull harder? I don't want to break anything.

Use a thin blade screwdriver or the edge of your pocket knife blade to pry the metal bulb holder away from the gauge receptacle. Don't pull them out by the wires.
