My interior redo: part one - the poll

Well, my grey-beige redye kit is on the way from Leatherique now. I have to get one of my "new" 930 sport seats repaired (6 inch rip in leather on top side of seat back (bolster)). Then the fun begins. The question that still keeps popping up in my mind is about an idea I had before about using some two tone. I guess technically my car is sort of two-tone already (black dash, shift boot and console, door pulls and pocket tops, and floor mats with all the rest grey-beige). What I am thinking is two toning the seats and door panels maybe... I like this look on Ferrari's but trying to decide if it will be complimentary at all to the 911. So help me decide... vote in the poll... express an opinion - I will survive it

Thanks in advance...

Hey, I'll be glad to scour the local thrift shops. I may be able to find some famous actresses/singers old leather wardrobe.

Pimp My Ride, Pelican-style?

Leave it the color it is.

OK, what about a black piping on the outside edges of the seat only, ala Porsche themselves...

To be honest, I saw it & thought: Wow, that actually looks good. And then I remembered that it's an 80s cab like mine. And then a big NOOOOOOOOO! came to my mind.

Keep it clean Shane. I've always been on the "all black" team especially for cabs. Easier to keep it looking fresh even if exposed to some sun here and there... Introducing a mixed color scheme on the seats just doesn't seem right somehow. (And if you wanna wear women's clothes while you do the work, who's to say that's wrong?!) LOL

Yeah, that is where I've been leaning, but wanted to toss a few of the "ideas" around first. I like to eliminate from big piles...

Any photoshop guys able to show that in the first picture (black piping just around the edge of the seats?).

I think I may have found my inspiration. This car (picture below), only the red would be grey-beige adn the piping would be black. Also, I am not into colored steering wheels, so mine will stay black there too.

Okay, suit yourself...but you MIGHT consider something like what we did to this '86 Cab. Got rid of the console and the door pockets were replaced with RS style.

Black piping and door pockets would be as 1980 Weissach only different color, pretty cool.

Yeah, I asked Dave if he could do the pockets and carpets too. The Weissachs I think actually had 3 colors didn't they?
